Spartan Soldier's Wit 
Just before the battle of Thermopylae, a Spartan
soldier came and reported, that the Persians were
so numerous, that their clouds of arrows darkened the
sun. 'So much the better,' said Leonidas,' for we
shall fight in the shade.'
